German texts and stories for A1 level
For those who want to take the international exams of Goethe, Ösd, Telc or ... There are two sections of exams including Lesen and Schreiben that you can achieve great success by reading German texts and stories.
One of the ways to learn German is to read short stories and texts. As you read a text, you learn a variety of things: growing up vocabulary, linguistic structures, grammar, idioms and expressions, and the correct way to use words in sentences.
In this app we've tried to collect A1 level short stories and translations with translations, and we've included a full audio story in the download section so you can use them for free.
In addition to the texts and stories, we have set requirements for the A1 course, including the most important A1 grammar.
Every month we try to add and update a new list of texts and stories.
Try reading the text first without looking at the translation, and if you don't know a word, try to find the meaning for it. Then see the translation at the end and compare your understanding of the story with the translation.
