Shams Tabrizi was born in 582 AH in Tabriz. The love of a master and a disciple between Shams and Rumi was famous among the people of that time, so that they sowed the seeds of hatred and enmity and Shams was forced to leave Konya. The 7th of October has been named as the day of commemoration of Shams Tabrizi.
